What is The Cocktails Show?

The Cocktails Show is a live interactive performance combining music, storytelling and guided audience choice. Each performance unfolds differently, shaped in real time while remaining carefully structured and musically balanced.

Is the show the same every night?

No. While the format and musical quality remain consistent, audience selections influence the journey of each performance, meaning no two shows are ever identical.

Do I need to take part?

Not at all. Participation is always optional. You are welcome to sit back and enjoy the performance without taking part in any way.

How does audience participation work?

During the show, audience members are invited to make simple, light-hearted choices that influence the musical direction of the evening. The process is guided and inclusive, designed to feel natural rather than pressured.

Is the music performed live?

Yes. The Cocktails Show is performed live by Gary Bland with a pianist. There are no backing tracks or pre-recorded vocals.

What kind of music will I hear?

Each Edition has its own musical theme, including Motown, Broadway & West End, The Sixties, Jazz & Swing and seasonal variations. Repertoire is curated in advance, while the order of performance is shaped by the audience.

The Cocktails Show is variable to meet programming needs, but typically 45, 60 and 90-minute formats.

Can the show be adapted for different events?

Yes. The format is flexible and integrates comfortably into cruise entertainment programmes, theatres, cabaret venues, festivals and private or corporate events.

Are different Editions available?

Yes. Multiple themed Editions are available, allowing venues and bookers to select a version aligned with their audience or event brief.

What technical requirements are needed?

The show has clear, straightforward technical requirements. A rider and stage specifications are supplied directly as part of the advance process.

Does the show work in larger venues?

Yes. The format scales comfortably from intimate cabaret spaces to larger theatre environments.

Is the performer insured?

Yes. The Cocktails Show carries £10,000,000 Public Liability Insurance through British Actors Equity, and is DBS checked.
